Eligibility depends on the type of product or service, work already performed and non-refundable commitments made to third-party suppliers.
1. Application of this policy
This policy applies unless an accepted quotation, order, signed agreement or mandatory law provides different cancellation or refund rights.
2. Submitting a request
Cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing to accounts@hozit.co.za or info@hozit.co.za.
The request should identify the customer, invoice, affected service, requested cancellation date and reason for the request.
3. Domain registrations
Domain registration, renewal, transfer and redemption fees are generally non-refundable once the transaction has been submitted to or completed by the relevant registrar or registry.
A spelling error supplied or approved by the Customer does not create a right to a refund after registration.
4. Hosting and recurring services
Monthly hosting and recurring services may be cancelled on written notice according to the applicable service term. Fees already incurred are not refundable merely because a service was unused.
Annual or fixed-term services may remain payable for the committed period unless the order expressly allows early cancellation.
5. Website and software development
Deposits and milestone payments cover reserved capacity, planning, design, development and other work. Amounts attributable to completed work or committed costs are non-refundable.
If a project is cancelled before completion, Hozit will calculate the work performed and non-cancellable costs. Any remaining credit will be considered after those amounts have been deducted.
6. Software licences and subscriptions
Third-party software licences, Microsoft subscriptions, security licences, SSL certificates and similar services may be non-refundable once ordered or activated.
Any refund or credit is subject to the relevant vendor’s cancellation terms.
7. Hardware and physical products
Hardware returns are subject to applicable law, supplier rules, warranty conditions and the condition of the goods.
Custom-ordered, configured, opened or activated products may not be returnable unless defective or otherwise required by law.
8. Consulting and support services
Fees for consulting, support, travel, assessment, configuration and on-site work already performed are non-refundable.
A postponed or cancelled appointment may attract a reasonable charge where resources were reserved and insufficient notice was provided.
9. Service defects and failures
Customers should notify Hozit promptly of a material service defect and allow a reasonable opportunity to investigate and correct it.
Where a service-specific SLA applies, service credits are governed by that SLA and may be the stated remedy for qualifying availability failures.
10. Excluded circumstances
A refund will not ordinarily be issued for issues caused by Customer configuration, unlawful use, compromised credentials, unsupported software, third-party systems, internet-provider failure or failure to follow reasonable technical instructions.
11. Approved refunds
Approved refunds will normally be made through the original payment method or by electronic transfer after verification of the recipient’s banking details.
Processing times may depend on banks, payment processors and third-party suppliers.
12. Mandatory legal rights
Nothing in this policy removes any cancellation, refund, repair, replacement or other remedy that may not lawfully be excluded under applicable South African law.
